The International Institute of Forecasters (IIF)
The International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), a non-profit organization founded in 1982, is dedicated to developing and furthering the generation, distribution, and use of knowledge on forecasting, with the goal of “bridging the gap (in forecasting) between theory and practice, with practice helping to set the research agenda and research providing useful results.”
Membership in the Institute includes two journals: (1) The International Journal of Forecasting (IJF), leading scholarly journal and (2) Foresight: The International Journal of Applied Forecasting, dedicated to improving the practice of business forecasting. In addition, we host the International Symposium on Forecasting (ISF), an annual symposium, which attracts the world’s leading researchers, practitioners, and students. Each symposium offers more than 250 research presentations, keynote speakers and attendance ranging from 300-450.
