Timberlake Consultants Ltd, distributor of the Scientific Workplace software, would like to invite you to attend a two-day course, in London. This course will cover how to produce and publish documents using Scientific Workplace.

The course - The purpose of this course is to introduce the SWP package to  those who might wish to use the package to document and publish their work. The course aims to provide the essentials required by all participants. In order to meet individual needs, we will be available for 1 month after the course, to answer any questions by e-mail or phone. Note that we also provide teaching on a one-to-one on basis or on site.

Who should attend? Anyone wanting to learn how to publish documents using Scientific Workplace or needing to improve their skills in the use of Scientific Workplace.

The Principal Lecturer - The principal lecturer is:
Dr Marwan Izzeldin is a Lecturer in Economics and Econometrics at Lancaster University Management School and the managing director of Gulf One Lancaster Centre for Economic Research. He has a PhD in finance from Cass Business School. His research interests are in modelling and forecasting high frequency data, long memory processes in finance, bootstrap methods and Islamic banking. He has published in the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Computational Statistics and data Analysis and The Economic and Social Review.

  • Document previewing; Latex vs PDF-Latex
  • Printing options, sending options, copying options, importing options
  • Package updates and patches
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • Tutorial: set-up and publish a document

Registration closes 5 calendar days prior to the start of the course.

Cancellations:

  • full fee returned for cancellations made over 28 calendar days prior to start of the course
  • half-fee returned for cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to he start of the course
  • no fee returned for cancellations made less than 14 calendar days prior to the start of the course.
