Microarray Data Management and Analysis using SilicoCyte - FREE  SEMINAR

24 May 2004
The Royal Statistical Society,
12 Errol Street , London EC1Y 8LX , U.K.

One of the major problems encountered in the area of microarray analysis relates to the complexity of the data. The seminar will introduce a software package, SilicoCyte (by CytoGenomics Inc), which combines data management, image analysis, data annotation, statistical analysis and visualization in an integrated way. In addition, SilicoCyte allows the integration other software products, e.g. Imagene, Spotfire and more, into a comprehensive data management platform. Users will be able to use the functionalities of these products in addition to SilicoCyte features through one interface.

Presenter: Ashwini Heerekar is Consultant-Life Sciences at CytoGenomics. He is the head of the user group at CytoGenomics. He is responsible for product management in terms of defining and evaluating feature requirements and the road-map of the product. His postgraduate studies were in microbiology and has done life science research for more than 3 years. He has more than 6 years of software development and consultancy experience focused on the life sciences domain.
