The Stata 10 GradPlan prices and rules have changed from those offered in the past.

What is a GradPlan?

The purpose of the Stata GradPlan is to allow students to purchase Stata at special low prices. The GradPlan is not designed to service the needs of academic researchers.
However, if Academic Institutions would like to resell Stata to students, they can purchase GradPlans under Method 1 and Method 2 and distribute those copies also to their staff members.

There are 3 methods you can choose from

• Method 1 -- ideal for larger sites
  
• Method 2 -- ideal for orders from classes.
  
• Method 3 -- ideal for the PhD/MSc student needing to use Stata for their research
  

Method 1 -- This method allows sites to purchase Stata for members of staff and students. A minimum purchase of 20 licenses is required.

How does it work?

• You select someone at your school to be the contact person
  
• We will send the Getting Started manuals and CDs and Registration Form
  
• Students and staff contact us, by phone or by going online, when they want the license, send the Registration Form (name, address, e-mail, etc) and we will e-mail or fax the license
  

Method 2 – This method allows one Faculty Member using Stata during their course to purchase Stata for himself/herself and the students on his/her course. There is no minimum purchase required.

How does it work?

• The lecturer contacts us and registers the course
  
• We send the registration forms, manuals and CDs
  
• Students will contact us directly, we will collect the payment and send directly to the students their Stata license, CDs and any documentation ordered.

• The lecturer collects the payments and, after sending us the registration forms, we will send the required licenses and Getting Started manual
  

Method 3 – This method allows a student to purchase a Stata license directly from us. It is ideal for the PhD/MSc student needing to use Stata for their research. Student identification will be required and is only available to students at UK and Irish Universities.

How does it work?

• The student sends us the student id and registration form and we will send the license and Getting Started manual. Prepayment is required.
