Stata - How to purchase upgrades and new copies

We are aiming to provide you with enough information on pricing and types of licenses. After looking at the available options, please contact us so that we can confirm the prices and maybe advise on the best options available to you.

Please note that

When upgrading licenses we require the serial numbers of the licenses you are upgrading
When ordering multiple user copies, we require the names of two users in addition to the name of the IT/Purchasing officer

Pricing
There are four versions of Stata - Stata/MP (Stata/MP 2 for dual processors and Stata/MP 4 for 4 processors), Stata/SE, Stata/IC and Small Stata (click here to find out how they differ). The folowing prices are available

Academic Institutions (note: an academic institution is an institution that enrols students and provides degrees)	Non-Academic Institutions (note: this includes government and non-profit research institutions)

Licensing Options

Academic Institutions

Single/Multiple-User Licenses - these licenses are to be installed on the hard disks of stand-alone computers and provide home-use. They cannot be installed on networks. However, if the organisation is the holder of the licenses and wants to extend the number of licenses, the organisation is required to start again, i.e. to use the prices for a 1st copy, etc.
Network licenses - these licenses may be installed on networks only. It is the duty of the IT manager to control the number of copies being used on the network. This licensing does not provide home use.
Teaching licenses - these licenses are for the exclusive use of students using a computer lab. They should not be used by lecturers' in their own lecturer rooms.
GradPlans - The purpose of the Stata GradPlan is to allow students to purchase Stata at special low prices. The GradPlan is not designed to service the needs of academic researchers. However, methods I and II of the Gradplan allow academic organisations to purchase, under certain conditions, these licenses to be also distributed to their research staff.
Annual maintenance for large sites - Large sites may opt for annual maintenance to help with their budget. Please contact us for further details.

How to Order
Contact our sales department with your order. We accept official purchase orders (do not forget to include the VAT exemption declaration if applicable), the serial numbers of copies to upgrade and the name/names and e-mail addresses of the Stata users, which flavour of Stata and which operating system. We require user information to provide technical support and provide information, on a quarterly basis, of new features, training courses and other issues related to the use of Stata. Both single-users and multiple-user licenses are distributed with one set of manuals - please tell us if you require extra sets of manuals and which type (complete or complete excluding MATA or base). You find an order form here for your convenience. If sending an official purchase order, please complete the order form (you do not have to repeat information on both forms). Please remember we prefer to provide a quotation to ensure you are getting the best deal you possibly can.
