Course overview
This course is designed to cover the elements of economic theory and econometrics that are needed to construct a macroeconometric model that can be used for forecasting and for macroeconomic policy analysis. Several topics will be covered including cointegration, macroeconomic forecasting, nowcasting and structural VARs and applied to real life case studies using macro data. The techniques will be demonstrated in EViews econometric software (no previous experience with EViews is required).
