Using Stata and R Together

COURSE DATES:
9th March 2018 | 10th August 2018 | 6th December 2018

R and Stata are the two fastest growing software options for data analysis. R gives flexibility over working with data files alongside multiple vectors, matrices and lists stored in memory. Stata provides a large collection of analytical methods that can be called in one line of code. Being able to use the two side by side, and pass data between them, gives the modern data scientist a huge advantage over being constrained to work in only one. This course will show you how to embed R code in a Stata do-file, and vice versa. You will learn the limitations and dangers of moving data between them, and which is the best option for various tasks. Participants will leave with a general purpose library of R functions and Stata commands to help them put what they have learnt into practice.
