The 2nd Brazilian Stata Users Group meeting brings together Stata users from across Brazil and the world to network, educate, and share experiences. Join us on December 8th 2017 at the Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo – FEA/USP in São Paulo. The meeting will include presentations by StataCorp's Bill Rising, Director of Educational Services, Luiz Favero e Matheus Albergaria (FEA-USP).

Does your research rely on Stata? Do you have insights that would enlighten colleagues in your field? Prepare your abstract for the 2nd Brazilian Stata Users Group meeting.

Presentation guidelines

Stata Users Group meetings provide the opportunity for you to to exchange ideas, experiences and information on new applications of the software. All Stata users are encouraged to submit abstracts for possible presentations. Presentations discussing Stata are particularly welcome.

Topics might include but are not limited to:
  • discussions of user-written Stata programs;
  • case studies using Stata;
  • teaching methods using Stata;
  • discussions of data management problems;
  • reviews of analytical issues; and
  • surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields.

Submitting your presentation

Please email your abstract to the scientific committee.
Include your name, affiliation, and phone number.

Paper presentation formal requirements:
  • the abstract should be up to 200 words long;
  • presentations should be presented in English;
  • presentations should last approximately 20 minutes (followed by a 10-minute discussion). If your presentation requires more time, please let us know;
The scientific organizers will make a preliminary selection by September 30th, 2017. If selected, you must submit a final version of your presentation (PowerPoint or pdf) by November 20th, 2017. Short papers (max 10 pages) are also welcome.
The deadline for submissions is September 7th, 2017.
