Stata for Students
Students may purchase Stata/MP, Stata/SE and Stata/IC at a discount price through the Stata GradPlan programme.
What is a GradPlan?
The purpose of the Stata GradPlan is to allow students to purchase Stata at special low prices. The GradPlan is not designed to service the needs of academic researchers.
Should Academic Institutions choose to resell Stata GradPlans to students, they can purchase GradPlans under Options 1 & 2 (below) and then distribute copies of the software to students / staff members as and when the requirement for a Stata License arises.

GradPlan Option 1
Ideal for larger sites
This method allows sites to purchase Stata for students and members of staff and students. A minimum purchase of 20 licenses is required.
How does it work?
A nominated representative at your school is required.
We will send the nominated representative the required amount of installation DVDs and registration forms.
When a license is required, students and staff contact us (by phone, fax or online), submit the completed registration form to us and we will either email or fax when they want the license, send the Registration Form (name, address, e-mail, etc) and we will e-mail or fax the license

GradPlan Option 2
Ideal for Orders from Classes
This method allows one Faculty Member using Stata during their course to purchase Stata for themselves and the students on their course. There is no minimum purchase required.
How does it work?
1. The lecturer contacts us and registers the course with the GradPlan Scheme.
2. Students will contact us directly, we will collect the payment and completed registration forms and send the installation DVDs, Stata licences and any documentation ordered directly to the students.
Or
3. The lecturer collects the payments and, after sending us the completed registration forms, we will dispatch the installation DVDs, required licenses and any documentation ordered.

GradPlan Option 3
Ideal for the PhD/MSc student needing to use Stata for their research
This method allows a student to purchase a Stata license directly from us. It is ideal for the PhD/MSc student needing to use Stata for their research. Student identification will be required and is only available to students attending Universities in the UK and Ireland.
How does it work?
The student sends us their student identification together with the completed registration form and we will send the installation DVDs, required licenses and any printed documentation ordered directly to the student. Prepayment in full is required.
